Job Description
Summerland, nestled in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, is a friendly town with beautiful beaches, orchards, vineyards and mountains. The community offers a multitude of inside and outdoor activities and promotes a superb quality of life.
The District of Summerland is seeking an individual to work on a full-time basis for an estimated term of 15 months to cover a maternity leave. The work involves general landscape duties and is responsible for maintaining healthy plants, flowers, trees, shrubs, and grasses.
The successful applicant requires a two-year diploma in horticulture or related discipline, a minimum of two years experience in landscape maintenance and a valid B.C. Driver’s License – Class 5 with a clean driver’s abstract. Detailed qualifications are listed in a job description available at www.summerland.ca.
This position is part of the CUPE 1136 bargaining unit and offers an hourly wage of $27.88 – $29.35 per hour plus 15% in lieu of benefits.
