Job Position: Non-Apprenticeship Position
Salary: $18/hr + depending on experience. Staff team building activities and incentives throughout the season.

- • Landscape maintenance experience an asset (willing to train a motivated candidate who would fit the team)
- • Clean BC Drivers License
- • Good communication skills
- • Ability to take direction, work well within a team and show initiative
- • Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining the quality
- • Plant ID- knowledge of variety of plants common to the industry
- • Ability to identify plant health, pests and irrigation problems.

- Education / Experience
- • High school graduation certificate or equivalent
- • Horticulture post secondary education an asset, industry certification an asset
- • 2+ years experience working in residential landscaping environment

Job Description
Maintenance Team Member:
• Mowing and Edging lawns, using lawn equipment safely and properly such as mowers and line trimmers.
• Ornamental tree and shrub pruning
• Hedge shearing
• Bed care- including weeding, edging, cultivating, planting, fertilizing
• Mulching and spreading top soil
• Watering and tending to plants, lawns and gardens
• Other tasks as required
General Tasks
• loading, pushing and dumping wheelbarrows of various materials: (soil, sand, gravel, road base etc.), raking, and compacting various materials, carrying and stacking paving materials, lumber, steel/rebar, pallets, other building materials, heavy tarps.
• Conduct minor repairs for irrigation and lighting
• Proper care and management of tools and equipment- operating and maintaining
* must be able to physically work in all areas of landscaping- maintenance and installation. Stand, bend, crouch, kneel, lift… for extended periods.
Job Location
Mainly west side of Vancouver between UBC and Main Street with some additional sites in other areas.
